Hey Phoenixville,
Halloween is next Saturday, and there’s a ton to do around town. I spent last weekend doing the Phoenixville Haunted History Tour, the Wicked Elizabeth Wilson tour, and a tour of the Brinton Lodge. Each one offers something a little different, but all are worth checking out.
If you’re looking for more, this weekend is packed. Saturday morning, the 40th Annual Phoenixville Run fills Reeves Park with runners in superhero costumes. That afternoon, the Phoenixville Rec Center hosts Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat, so the kids can get a head start on candy.
The Colonial is staying in full spooky mode, with Halloween on Friday, Nosferatu with a live organ on Sunday, and Pet Sematary on Thursday.
And on Monday night, the Colonial and Reads & Company are throwing a midnight release party for the new Sarah J. Maas book.
Here's what's happening.
Featured Event
The 40th Annual Phoenixville Run is Saturday at Reeves Park. Forty years is a long run for a hometown race. With a superhero theme and costume prizes, be sure bring your cape. The 5K and 10K kick off at Reeves Park at 8:30am, followed by a kids Fun Run at 9am.
Every registration supports Citizen Advocacy of Chester County, the Phoenixville nonprofit that pairs neighbors with isolated people living with disabilities, building friendships that often last a lifetime.

A Court of Thorns and Roses fans, mark your calendars. Reads & Company, The Colonial, and Here & Now Crafts are throwing a midnight release party for A Court of Splintered Harmony, the sixth book in Sarah J. Maas’s series. It runs Monday, October 26 from 10pm to midnight in the Colonial’s Bank Lobby.
Expect trivia, prizes, merch, music, and signature cocktails, plus a make-your-own mini book bag charm kit. Costumes are encouraged, and copies go on sale right at midnight. Tickets are required.

Brandywine Simmer Pot Company
Last year, I started Brandywine Simmer Pot Company as a side project before launching Phoenixville Life. What began as a fun creative outlet quickly took off, and my stovetop blends became best sellers on Etsy, my website and at the Leesport Christmas Market.
If you have never used one, a simmer pot is a simple mix of dried botanicals, herbs, and spices. All you do is add them to a pot of water on your stove and let it gently simmer. It fills your entire home with a warm, cozy scent naturally and without any synthetic fragrances. They make wonderful, thoughtful holiday gifts for friends, family, teachers, or coworkers.
To help you get an early start on your holiday shopping, I just marked down my individual simmer pot on the shop by 30%. No discount codes needed because the sale prices are already live, so you can grab your favorites while current batches are in stock.
