Hey Phoenixville,
Big week ahead. Mother's Day is on Sunday, the Farmerās Market is in full swing on Saturday, and the Dogwood Festival rolls into Reeves Park starting Wednesday. If you have been waiting for the warm weather lineup to fire up, this is the week.
On top of all that, the Colonial has a guitar legend on Friday night, Foxfield Farm is throwing a Mother's Day market with live music, and there are a handful of smaller things tucked in between that are worth your time.
There is a lot going on, so I will keep the intro short and let the list do the talking.
Here's what's happening.
Featured Event
The 82nd Annual Phoenixville Dogwood Festival opens Wednesday at Reeves Park and runs through Saturday, May 16. It is one of the borough's longest standing traditions, dating back to 1943, and ranks as the second largest parade in Chester County.
Expect the usual lineup of rides, carnival games, food, vendors, live music at the bandshell, and the Dogwood Beer Garden on 3rd Avenue. Wednesday through Friday hours are 6 PM to 10 PM, with Saturday running 1 PM to 10 PM. The parade itself is Saturday (May 16th) at 1 PM.
All you can ride wristbands are available daily, and there are festival-long superband options for the kids who plan to be there every night. Bring cash, bring the family, and plan for parking to be tight.
