Hey Phoenixville,

I can’t believe it is the end of June already. I was in Punta Cana last week but from the photos I saw, people were having a great time around Phoenixville!

The Colonial is having a big week. There’s a Beatles, Zeppelin and Doors tribute, a rare 16mm horror double feature, and a legendary Australian rock band. Add in live music at the breweries, trivia, a punk rock flea market, and a couple of library talks that tie right into the Fourth of July, and your calendar is going to fill up fast.

This week is also the run up to the Fourth, and the library is leaning right into it. There’s a talk on Joe Varady’s book about Phoenixville’s past, and another on the Declaration of Independence as it hits its 250th anniversary. Worth a look if you like a little local history with your holiday week.

Want to get the kids out of the house? There’s a pizza party at the Foundry, the farmers market, and a table tennis tournament

Here's what's happening.

Mayor Peter Urscheler is bringing the Pizza Party back to the Phoenixville Foundry parking lot this Friday, and it’s an easy yes.

It’s free, it’s family friendly, and it runs all afternoon and evening. Expect pizza, local beer, vodka drinks, and a few food trucks while Bridge Street eases into another open-air weekend. No tickets, no fuss. Just come hungry.

Business Spotlight

This is Ryan Conroy, and he's a well regarded local historian in Phoenixville. He leads walking tours of the borough's history, and next Friday he's hosting a tour built around the 3 major movies that were filmed right here in Phoenixville. I went on one of his tours in early June and it was one of the best walking tours I've ever been on. It's worth checking out.

Where to Invest $100,000 Right Now, According to Experts

Investors face a dilemma. When the S&P 500 finished its worst quarter since 2022 last month, diversifiers like bonds and bitcoin fell too.

Even with the turnaround in mid-April, analysts at Goldman Sachs and Vanguard have projected low-single-digit annualized returns from 2024-2034.

Bloomberg asked where experts would personally invest $100,000 for their March monthly edition.

One answer that surfaced for a second time? Art.

It's what billionaires like Bezos and the Rockefellers have privately used to diversify for decades.

Why?

  1. Appreciation. The ArtPrice100 Index outpaced the S&P 500 overall from 2000 to 2025

  2. Low-correlation. The postwar contemporary segment has moved independently of traditional investments like stocks since ‘95.*

  3. Resilience. A scarce, physical, and global asset class with decades of demonstrated demand.

Thanks to the world's premier art investing platform, now anyone can invest in works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, without needing millions.
