It's Blobfest weekend. The Blob and Run Out are back baby!!!
A couple things worth knowing before you make plans. The immersive screening and runout happen both Friday and Saturday this year, not just Friday. It is sold out for Friday but you can watch the run out around 830 PM. Ticket are still available for Saturday. Sunday has the 5K and a red themed dinner out at Yellow Springs. And if you've got kids, Saturday is your day, with the street fair, the parade, and matinees at the Colonial.
Here's what's happening.

Blobfest is back for its 27th year, and this time the Colonial is running the whole thing as Cirque du Blobfest, a carnival themed version of the festival that put this town on the map for horror fans everywhere.
If you're new to it, the Colonial played itself in the 1958 movie The Blob, the one where a young Steve McQueen watches red alien goo ooze through town. The big tradition is the Run Out, where the whole audience recreates the scene by sprinting out of the theater screaming. It's exactly as fun as it sounds.
New this year, they're doing the immersive screening and Run Out on both Friday and Saturday night, since Friday alone kept selling out. Friday also rolls into the Blob Ball, a 1950s dance party in the lobby. Saturday is the big daytime one: the Street Fair and Kids Carnival takes over Bridge Street from 11 to 5, with the Fire Extinguisher Parade and a costume contest. Sunday winds down with the 5K, a kids fun run, and Dinner en Blob, a red dress community dinner out at Historic Yellow Springs.
