Hey Phoenixville,
One month down. If you thought February would be quiet, you were wrong! There's Bridgerton bingo, a winter coat giveaway, live music on Bridge Street, and a bunch of other stuff worth knowing about.
City Updates
If you caught last month's city council meeting, you know some good things are happening on Bridge Street and around town. HARB approved renovations at 231-233 Bridge Street, and the work is moving forward now that everything's in place. The applicant worked with the board to make sure the materials match our historic guidelines.
Separately, Sky High Services got the 2026 tree removal contract. It's the kind of thing you don't think about until you need it, but it keeps our streets and parks safer.
If you are interested in attending, the next Borough Council Meeting is Feb 10th at 7pm

Interesting Phoenixville Headline From 100 Years Ago
The Daily Republican reported on Feb 8th 1926 that a massive blizzard buried Phoenixville under two feet of snow. Schools closed and automobiles stalled out, but residents made the best of it. Horse drawn sleighs glided through town while kids spent the day building snowmen and launching snowball fights, turning the whole storm into an impromptu winter carnival…. Sound familiar???
That's it for this week. Share this with a neighbor who might enjoy one of these events.
See you next Thursday.
